KCB Group CEO Paul Russo has been bestowed with the continental honor of the African Business Leader of the Year award during the 14th edition of the annual African Business Leadership Awards 2024.
Russo’s recognition follows a rigorous and competitive selection process that gauged the leadership qualities, transformative vision, and outstanding contributions to the African business landscape, which he stood out among a distinguished pool of nominees across the continent.

In 2023, it achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first financial institution in the region to exceed the two trillion shillings mark in asset size after reporting assets worth Kes 2.1 trillion and reclaimed its position as the most profitable bank in East Africa after posting a 69% rise in Q1 2024 Net Profit to KShs. 16.5 Billion.
