Harambee Stars’ captain, Michael Olunga, is on the verge of bidding farewell to his current club in Qatar, as multiple reports circulate suggesting an imminent departure.

Olunga who finished his first full season in Qatar with 24 league goals after his Al Duhail side drew 0-0 against Al Ahli Doha in their season-ending fixture , might be seeking a new challenge in his career.

While he was previously linked with a move to Turkey during the summer transfer window, it is now reported that his representatives at EMG Mundial have approached Galatasaray.

The Turkish club is in search of a striker following Bafetimbi Gomis’ confirmation that he will be departing at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old’s manager, whose contract with Al Duhail will expire in June 2023, reportedly reached out to Galatasaray with an offer to discuss a potential move.

Alongside Galatasaray, Scottish giants Rangers are said to have identified Olunga as one of the strikers they are interested in acquiring for the upcoming season.
