‘Glovo Bargains’ boosts grocery shopping in Kenya by 47%

Through its network of delivery-only supermarkets, ‘Glovo Bargains’, and top grocery partners available in the app, online grocery shopping in Kenya has risen by 47% since 2022 as Kenyans enjoy the convenience of the service.

In the same period, this new way of buying everyday products has boosted categories such as ‘Fruits and Vegetables’ to the growth of 1,681% through high-demanded products like apples, bananas, avocados, oranges, or lemons. 

Fruits & Veg” orders are concentrated uniformly between 10 am and 5 pm, peaking at 12 pm (10.4% of the daily total). Apples, Bananas, Oranges, Lemons, and Grapes are the most consumed fruits.
