Some residents of Machakos county are calling on Governor Alfred Mutua to stop lying about the state of roads in the county.

This comes in the wake of Dr Mutua’s declaration on social media on Thursday that Machakos has been transformed into a potholes free county.

“Today I declare Machakos a pothole free county. This makes us the only county with smooth tarmac roads 24/7,” Dr Mutua wrote on Facebook.

The governor went ahead to say that in future potholes in Machakos would be sealed when they are the size of a coin – within 48 hours.
