The club located in Ekero advertised vacant positions for cashiers and waiters on its Facebook page.
According to the poster, waiters and cashiers who will be picked will earn KSh 4,000 and KSh 7,000 respectively. The popular joint is seeking candidates for job positions with qualifications including a high attitude in customer care, a minimum of D- in KCE, being smart and in shape, and being above 22 years of age, among other requirements.
Saleh Shitandi, the proprietor of Club Valuvalu that his phone was incessantly ringing with reservation requests and business was booming.
Shitanda said he was improving the club and restocking in lieu of the developments, adding that it is an opportunity for him to rebrand and give it a new look. However, Shitandi admitted that as much as the fame came with many positives, some people were mudslinging the joint.
That does not, however, put a dent in the entrepreneur’s plans for the club which has since become a national phenomenon.
