Award-winning scriptwriter Abel Mutua has added a touch of humor to the recent separation of his best friends, Kate Actress and Phillip Karanja.
On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, Mutua playfully imitated the couple’s amicable split, creating a light-hearted statement of his own.
In his tongue-in-cheek message, Abel Mutua humorously declared that he would no longer associate with Mr. Karanja due to what he dubbed “vehicular differences.”
Drawing inspiration from the couple’s joint statement, Mutua took a playful jab at Phillip Karanja’s choice of vehicle.

Kate responded with playful banter, saying, “Nugu wewe,” accompanied by laughing emojis.
Director Phil, in a light-hearted manner, added, “Mtu BladiFakin sana😂😂😂😂.”
The former couple’s other friends, comedian Njugush joined the fun by creating his own mock joint statement.
He replaced the names with “Rigathi Gachagua & Kikuyus” and added a humorous twist involving a Kikuyu proverb.

On Tuesday, Kate Actress, and the father of her second child, Phillip Karanja surprised their fans after announcing their amicable separation.
The couple, who had been married for close to six years.
In their joint statement, Kate Actress and Phillip Karanja stated:
“We came to a conclusion to end our marriage a long while ago and are separated. We sincerely request everyone to honour our wishes for privacy for us and our kids.”
Phil Karanja affirmed that despite the separation, they will maintain their friendship, co-parenting responsibilities, and continue as business partners.
“This is a matter between two people, but let us include you in the loop a little so that we can move forward in our lives without unnecessary speculation. Kate and I will remain friends, co-parents, and business partners.”
