Narc Kenya MCA arrested for alleged M-Pesa fraud detained for 3 days

Narc Kenya MCA aspirant for Muthara Ward in Meru County who was arrested Thursday for alleged Mpesa fraud will spend three more days in police custody.

Benson Thuranira Kathiai is alleged to have obtained over Ksh350,000 fraudulently from Mpesa agents and is set to answer to fraud charges at the Nakuru Law Courts on May 30th.

A report from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) indicates that Muthara had obtained Ksh 100,000 from two Mpesa agents before he obtained a further…
