Nyandarua Governor Waithaka Mwangi is set to be grilled over corruption claims.
The Nyandarua County head will face the Senate watchdog committee to respond to audit queries.
The queries were flagged out in the 2014/15 financial year in an audit report that was prepared by the auditor-general.
This comes as the County Public Accounts and Investment Committee (PAIC) fast tracks the grilling processes for Governors before the upcoming August general elections are held.
The auditor-general’s reports have revealed massive plunder of public resources both at the national and county levels, raising concerns that a lot of development would be realized if the funds, are properly utilised.
The report indicates that Internal Audit was ineffective in most counties, hence allowing financial mismanagement which could have been avoided.
