Bishop Emmanuel Musinga’s story might be the basis for a suspense film that perfectly illustrates the human spirit’s unwavering endurance.
He was not born in Kenya, but he was fortunate enough to find a life purpose in the country. He was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but due to violence, he became a refugee in Kenya.
The most challenging challenge was that he escaped the DRC alone and knew no one else, making living in Nairobi extremely difficult.
“My story as a refugee was selected by the United Nations, and I went to the US embassy for an interview. Luckily, I was resettled to the United States
“When you are a refugee, the government has a program to welcome you and fully accommodate you for some time. After that, you are given a job, and my first job was to clean the market,” he said in an interview.

Musinga went on to claim that while working as a cleaner, he had always wanted to perform better, which prompted him to apply for other positions.
Aside from that, he had always wanted to be a preacher and motivational speaker, which is why he decided to start his own church.
Musinga was not fluent in English at the time, and when he took out a loan to start a church, he planned to attract a Congolese congregation.
He currently has over 30 churches in Kenya, Uganda and the United States, and is planning to open more due to the expanding viewership.
“I started off as a sweeper, did my job with passion until I became a caseworker. Right now, I have my own business, I have churches all over the world and several jobs. From zero to hero
“I never imagined that one day I would be living in the United States. Right now, I am a legal citizen in the US, and I can just say it’s by the grace of God,” he said.
