Be honest with Kenyans on promises made, Ole Sapit tells Ruto

Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit has urged the government to re-strategise on the delivery promises they made during the campaign period, stating that it was time to be realistic with what can be achieved.

“They made many promises during that time and we knew most of them were unrealistic. If you followed the promises of Azimio and Kenya Kwanza at that time, it was like whoever wins by October, Kenya looked a little heaven because the promises made it seem like everything is sorted out,” he said.

Sapit says the government should now focus on prioritising what promises they can deliver and push those ones that they can’t.

“If we try to push to achieve what we promised and we know that we have nothing to deliver the promises, then you are going to break everybody’s backs. You’ll even break your back struggling to make something that you know can’t happen, happen,” he said.
