Kenyan actress and radio presenter, Jacque Nyaminde, popularly known as Wilbroda shared candid insights into the factors that contributed to the collapse of her marriage with her baby dady.
In a revealing interview with a local publication, Wilbroda acknowledged her role in the breakup .
One significant revelation was Wilbroda’s realization that she inadvertently contributed to the breakdown of her marriage by frequently having relatives, particularly her sisters, at her house.
”My sisters were always at my house, I didn’t see a big deal with it until later on after we broke up, he mentioned it to his friend,” she said.
She acknowledged that the constant presence of her relatives created an overwhelming environment for her then-husband, who later expressed his discomfort to a friend.
“I didn’t see that. Looking at it now I’m like, I contributed to their coming. I went overboard. I enjoyed their company but it cost me.”
Reflecting on her changed lifestyle, Wilbroda disclosed that she no longer entertains visitors unless they come at her invitation.
“I no longer entertain visitors even my relatives. People need their personal space. It’s one of the things. You have to be mentally prepared to have friends over.”
The challenges of co-parenting also took center stage in the interview.
Wilbroda openly discussed moments when she contemplated raising her child alone due to difficulties in maintaining a friendship with her child’s father.
“I cant see we are friends (with my child’s father). At times you throw everything, and you say, ‘you know what, I’ll never call you again. I’m going to do this alone. Catch me if you can but I’m gone,” she narrated.
Wilbroda hinted at anger issues being a contributing factor to the breakdown of her relationship, revealing instances where her child’s father would display extreme anger.
This led her to make the decision to opt out of the relationship for the sake of her well-being.
