Vihiga Queens are set to assess four players before making a final decision on their inclusion in the matchday squad for their upcoming Women’s Premier League match against Nakuru City Queens.
The defending champions are currently leading the league with just one point, and they will be eager to maintain their position with a win against Nakuru.
Coach Boniface Nyamunyamu in an interview with the star, revealed that Ruth Kasoa, Janet Moraa, Diana Tembesi, and Anne Norah have all returned to light training after recovering from their injuries.
“The four are training individually. They are not ready to join the rest of the squad. We are keeping an eye on their progress but we will make a decision in the last training session,” said Nyamunyamu.
In a major boost for Vihiga Queens, the trio of Philisters Kadari, Maureen Achieng, and Merceline Wayodi are back to full training and will be involved in the match against Nakuru.
Nyamunyamu admitted that the team has been depleted due to injuries, which has contributed to their recent loss in matches.
He expressed his hope that the recovered players do not suffer any setbacks in their recovery, as the team needs them for their upcoming fixtures.
