Six Nzoia Sugar players set to join AFC Leopards

FKF Premier League side AFC Leopards are set to sign six players from Nzoia Sugar FC when their transfer ban ends.

Leopards are currently barred from signing players after failing to pay their former coach Patrick Aussems on time but the club has promised new players that they will resolve the impasse before the current window closes.

While Clifton Miheso has confirmed that he is back at the den, the former Police FC and Gor Mahia winger is yet to be registered for the same reason. The move has seen a lot of new faces currently training with the team in the same situation.

The players from Nzoia currently training with the Tom Juma side include keeper Humphrey Katasi, Vincent Mahiga, Randy Bakari, Boniface Munyendo, Hassan Beja, and Yassin Beja. Others with the team are former Mathare United winger Kevin Kimani and Brian Yakhama formerly with FC Talanta.

There are a few faces expected to leave the den once their contracts end with Cliff Nyakeya leading this contingent.

Leopards will kick off their season with a tie against FC Talanta with the team having had their pre-season camp in the Western part of the country.
