Former Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Sam Nyamweya has threatened to dismiss the entire Shabana Football Club management if they lose their next three matches.

Speaking during a closed-door meeting at Hill Park Hotel in Nairobi, attended by Shabana FC stakeholders, including political leaders from Kisii and Nyamira, Nyamweya expressed concern that without the necessary attention, the club could regress to its previous state during its 17-year hiatus to gain promotion into the FKF Premier League.

“We are giving the leadership an opportunity to come together and ensure that the upcoming 12 matches and other competitions that Shabana participates in receive the attention and support necessary to prevent the team from being relegated,” read part of the resolutions from the meeting, as reported by Africa Top Sports.

Shabana, currently second from the bottom of the league table, has had a poor run in previous matches.

They are scheduled to face Bandari FC in Machakos on March 2nd, followed by clashes against KCB and Post Rangers.

According to Nyamweya, if the club fails to secure maximum points in these matches, the management will be asked to step aside, with a caretaker committee assuming control for the remainder of the season.

“It is imperative that the coach and the technical bench receive all the support they need to deliver results, and the fans should be given a voice in the main leadership and be included in management meetings for effective planning and coordination,” the statement further added.
