Lang’ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwour, popularly known as Jalang’o, has insisted that the recent trips to State House by perceived opposition rebels are all about development, and nothing political.
Speaking in an interview with NTV on Monday evening, Jalang’o defended Raila Odinga’s political clout stating that no one should dare think that the visits to State House would affect the opposition leader’s grip of his Nyanza political stronghold.
Wacha baba aitwe baba siku zote,” added the Lang’ata MP.
He went on point out that the Nyanza leaders who have visited State House recently have been trying to mobilize resources for development in their respective regions.
Meanwhile, the MP says he does not regret choosing to work with the Head of State, and that it should not be perceived as an act of betrayal.
Jalang’o says he chose to work with President Ruto after the Supreme Court judges validated his election victory and after realizing that the head of state has a vision for the country that appeals to him.
