Kenyan content creator Miss Njagi is facing a frustrating ordeal on the popular social media platform TikTok, where her accounts have been banned multiple times despite her significant following.
The latest setback came as her second account, boasting 418K followers, was unexpectedly banned, following a similar fate with her first account, which had over 1 million followers.
Expressing her disappointment and frustration, Miss Njagi took to her Instagram page to sarcastically question the motives behind the repeated bans, implying a sense of persecution: “Aaah TikTok mnanibamba tu lazima you make sure account imeenda, hata mfanye nini Mungu naye haniachi,” she wrote.
Undeterred by the setbacks, Miss Njagi has embarked on the task of rebuilding her presence on TikTok, creating yet another account and slowly amassing followers, having crossed the 1000 mark so far.
In solidarity with Miss Njagi, fellow content creator Kris Baby has spoken out against the unjust treatment, urging others in the TikTok community to raise awareness about toxicity on the platform.
“This goes out to fellow creators, it is high time we raise awareness on toxicity on TikTok where they decide to pick up on someone and hate for nothing it does not make sense someone losses their account thrice,” said Kris Baby.
“I am just challenging those of us who have grown through TikTok to speak up and say something, this needs to stop,” Kris Baby added.
One of the contributing factors to Miss Njagi’s initial ban was reportedly a case of mistaken identity, as she was wrongly assumed to be underage due to her youthful appearance.
