While many people only know Wafula Chebukati as the Chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), he is also a husband and parent.
He revealed two of his three little-known children in response to President William Ruto’s remark congratulating him on overseeing a credible presidential election in August 2022.

“I am delighted to have contributed to the strengthening of democracy in Kenya. God bless Kenya,” Chebukati said, thanking his family.
Jonathan, Rachel and Emmanuel Chebukati have each established a reputation for themselves outside of their father’s shadow.
Emmanuel Chebukati is an established cloud security engineer in the East and Central African regions.
Emmanuel is the Co-Founder of Hepta Analytics, a technology company that specializes in data analysis and insight generation to help businesses make better decisions.
He has previously worked as a cyber security boot camp instructor for LinkedIn and Skillsoft.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Emmanuel has over seven years of experience with systems auditing, application security, and safe cloud deployment.
He has three Microsoft Azure certifications, is an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and a Certified Ethical Hacker.
Emmanuel also has an MSc in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Technology (with a focus on Forensic IT and Cybercrime) from the United States International University.
Rachel Chebukati is a High Court of Kenya Advocate who presently works as a Senior State Counsel in the Office of the Attorney General.
She took up the post in 2021 after working at many law firms.
Prior to joining the AG’s office, Rachel worked for numerous respected law firms, including Bowmans and Sherman Nyongesa & Mutubia Advocates, as a dispute resolution lawyer and associate advocate, respectively.
She received her Masters Degree in Oil and Gas Law and Policy from the University of Dundee in Scotland in 2017.
Rachel also has two bachelor’s degrees: one in law from the University of Nairobi and another in international relations from the United States International University.
