Former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga is clearly not your average politician as is evidenced by the number of houses he owns.

Owning a house, better yet, a good house for that matter, tops the demands and aspirations of any person and the former premier is no exception.

In a long distinguished and illustrious career, the AU envoy has managed to harness a great deal of wealth.

According to media reports, Odinga owns homes in Nairobi, Nyanza, and Mombasa, which he uses both for his family and business matters.

Karen Home

The former premier owns a luxurious house in Nairobi’s lush Karen suburb.

The mansion rests on a ten-acre piece of land and boasts a serene environment, from well-maintained lawns, fences, an Olympic sized swimming pool to a well-equipped gym.

Security is surely top-notch in this residence, as it has a well-manned gate, a wired perimeter wall, and an almost 300-meter alley that leads to the house.

The seats in the mansion shout royalty, befitting a man of the former premier’s stature.

Kisumu Home

Raila’s home in Nyanza was built on Riat Hills in Kisumu.

Media reports claim that the Ksh 1 billion palatial home boasts 10 bedrooms, jacuzzis, a humongous helipad, conference halls, a theatre and state-of-the-art kitchen.

Nyali home

The former premier’s mansion in the Kenyan Coast is painted Egyptian white with blue lines in adherence to Mombasa County government’s requirement that all houses in the CBD be painted blue and white.

Raila held a housewarming party at the Nyali residence in March 2018 and hosted Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi and Mombasa counterpart Ali Hassan Joho.

In January 2019, as Odinga turned 74, he hosted a lavish party at the mansion in which President Uhuru Kenyatta danced his heart out.
