Gov’t stops creation of new administrative units

The government has placed a moratorium on the creation of new administrative units and adjudication of land along the borders of Isiolo and Meru Counties until after the general elections. 

The ban was announced earlier Tuesday by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi’i at a hotel in Isiolo.
