Zoho partners with women in business Kenya and USSIA to empower SMEs

Zoho, a global technology company, has announced strategic partnerships with the Women in Business Community Network Kenya and Uganda Small Scale Industries Association (USSIA) to empower businesses across Kenya and Uganda in their digital transformation journey.

These collaborations aim to provide businesses—regardless of size or industry—with access to affordable enterprise-grade cloud technology solutions that drive efficiency, innovation, and growth.

Through this alliance, Zoho will provide wallet credits worth KSH 75,000 for members of Women in Business Community Network Kenya, and USD 500 for members of USSIA. These credits can be used to subscribe to Zoho’s suite of 55+ cloud-based applications, covering essential business functions such as sales, marketing, finance, HR, and collaboration.

This also includes access to Zoho One, the operating system for business, that provides 55+ applications on a single unified platform. Additionally, Zoho will conduct training programmes to help business owners and professionals leverage its cloud technology for improving productivity, automating processes, and streamlining operations.

“At Zoho, we believe that technology should be accessible and adaptable for businesses at every stage of growth,” said Veerakumar Natarajan, Country Head for Zoho Kenya. “Our partnerships with Women in Business Community Network Kenya and USSIA enable us to equip businesses in the respective regions with the tools and expertise needed not only to transition into the digital economy but to thrive in it. Our goal is to bring down barriers to technology adoption, empowering businesses of all sizes to stay agile, build resilience, and scale rapidly in a rapidly-changing market.”

Supporting Business Growth and Innovation in Kenya

The partnership with Women in Business Community Network Kenya is aimed at fostering digital inclusivity, ensuring that businesses—especially women-led enterprises—can harness the power of technology to enhance efficiency and scale operations.

Speaking on the collaboration, Dr. Mercy Makena Mbogori, Chairperson of Women in Business Community Network Kenya, stated: “In today’s fast-evolving digital landscape, businesses must embrace technology to remain competitive. However, access to affordable and effective digital solutions has been a challenge for many, especially women-led businesses. Through this partnership with Zoho, we are providing our members with the necessary tools and training to digitise their operations, drive efficiency, and position themselves for long-term success.”

By leveraging Zoho’s cloud applications, members of Women in Business Community Network will gain access to powerful business solutions for customer management, finance, operations, and collaboration—helping them compete both locally and globally.

Bridging the Digital Gap for Ugandan Businesses

In Uganda, the partnership with USSIA is set to enhance the digital capabilities of businesses across multiple industries, from manufacturing and trade to professional services and retail, that are a part of the organisation.

Veronica Namwanje, Executive Secretary for USSIA, said: “The future of business is digital, and we want to ensure that all our members—from small-scale enterprises to large industry players—have access to the right tools and knowledge to remain competitive. This partnership with Zoho enables us to equip businesses in Uganda with affordable access to premium cloud solutions and expert training that will help them optimise operations, enhance efficiency, and scale sustainably.”

Through Zoho’s suite, members of USSIA will be able to streamline workflows, improve customer engagement, and drive innovation using tailored digital solutions.
