A man left to care for a four-day-old baby has shared his heartbreaking experience after his partner abandoned him for a wealthy individual.
In a TikTok video, the man can be seen tenderly rocking the newborn to sleep, expressing his profound sadness in the caption.
“God, remember me with a four-day-old baby. Her mother ran away four days after birth to a rich Nigerian man in Kileleshwa,” he lamented, accompanied by crying emojis.
The man even tagged his estranged partner on social media, accusing her of leaving him to fend for their child alone.
Speaking to YouTuber Trudy Kitui, the distraught father reminisced about the joyous moments leading up to the birth. However, everything took a drastic turn on the third day.
“On the fourth day, I went to the cyber café to update my CV for a job application. While I was engrossed there, I received a phone call from my neighbor, informing me that our baby was alone in the house,” he recounted.
Alarmed by the news, he rushed home to find the newborn asleep on the couch, devoid of any baby essentials.
“The baby was sleeping here,” he gestured to the couch. “Upon closer inspection, I realized there were no baby clothes. I attempted to call the mother, but my calls went unanswered. Even when we used the neighbor’s phone, she disconnected the call. Fortunately, I had her best friend’s number. However, she too ignored my calls.”
Hours later, the best friend returned the call, revealing shocking details about the mother’s whereabouts.
“In the evening, she called back and admitted she had been preoccupied. I explained the situation, and she disclosed that the mother of my child was in Kileleshwa, involved with another man who was lavishing her with money. Allegedly, this wealthy individual had advised her against staying with a financially unstable partner,” he explained.
Identifying the wealthy man as a Nigerian national, the best friend added, “He’s a Nigerian man. Though I’m unsure which part of Kileleshwa he resides in, he’s undoubtedly affluent.”
