Citizen TV anchors Lulu Hassan and Rashid Abdalla hosted an appalling episode of the Bi Msafwari series that saw a brave woman make a startling revelation about her married life.
Appearing on Citizen TV’s Simulizi segment, Grace narrated that in her marriage, she had endured abuse both from her daughter and husband who she later discovered was dating behind her back.
She disclosed that before walking away from her home, her husband openly slept with her widowed neighbors and every time she brought the matter up, she was simply dismissed.
Her daughter would also join the husband to taunt her making statements to the effect that she (the daughter) was better placed to take care of the husband.

Here is Grace’s narration:
“After I had developed issues with her father for a long time, (the daughter) developed a sexual relationship with him. They sold a piece of land that I owned and after getting the money, they chased me out of the home and moved in as husband and wife.
“When they received the land pay, my daughter returned to me with so much rage and told me that she had discovered my husband was her step-father and demanded to know her real father. When I asked her about their relationship, she told me that she was ready to sleep with any man as long as he had money.
“When I questioned the husband, he told me that the daughter was a wife just like me. They kept frustrating me and managing to ruin my other child’s life, (a boy) by introducing him into alcohol and making him drop out of high school at Form Three.
“They used the boy to drive me out of the home and he would occasionally beat me and throw pangas at me. I left with nothing but the last-born daughter aged nine years who the father tried to rape. He had vowed to turn all the girls into his wives.
“I have enough evidence, the daughter was fearful and the father had tried to rape her twice,” narrated Grace to the shock of the two news anchors.
She further stated that the frustrations led to the deterioration of her health and she was forced to spend much of her income on treatment, all while facing hostility from her ex-husband and his new wife.
She would occasionally faint and had developed poor sleeping patterns.
“Sababu moja ya kutoka kwa ndoa yangu ni kuwa, tulikokuwa tunaishi, kila wakati majirani wakimpoteza mume wa nyumba kwa kifo, mume wangu alikuwa analala na bibi za marehemu na kuniambia niache wivu, kwani nao pia wana haja” – Bi. Grace #NipasheWikendi
