Shabana are the 2022/23 National Super League Champions following their 2-0 win over Kisumu Allstars on the last day of the league at Gusii Stadium on Sunday.
After a goalless first half in a highly charged Gusii, Nehemiah Oncheri was to grab a brace in the second half in a day that saw Muranga Seal fight to a 2-2 draw against Gusii United.
The season has been an enticing one with Shabana and Murang’a Seal earning automatic promotion to the FKF Premier League; the onus remaining to see who would emerge the champions with both teams having headed to the final day separated by just two points.
On the same day, Migori Youth secured a FKF PL/NSL promotion/relegation playoff slot after being awarded two goals and three points after their opponent’s MCF failed to show up for their tie that had been scheduled for Migori Stadium.
