Self Medication on the rise as majority of Kenyans prefer over the counter medication

Nine out of 10 Kenyans who have medical insurance cover prefer to buy medication over the counter instead of seeking treatment in hospital. A spot check by the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation in Nairobi indicates that most Kenyans do not seek a Doctor’s opinion when unwell.
