School gates will remain closed for an additional three days, after the Ministry of Education deferred opening dates for basic education institutions to Thursday the August 18, instead of Monday August 15, 2022. Education Cabinet Secretary Prof.George Magoha says the decision follows consultation with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission .
