Samuel Kangau is a successful businessman based in Limuru.
His success is due to a simple yet effective combination of sugarcane juice and a variety of green vegetables such as spinach, managu, ginger, terere, cabbages, aloe vera and pumpkin seeds.

Kangau began his adventure into the realm of sugarcane juice while working as a long-distance truck driver in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
“It is in Congo where I learnt this trade. As truck drivers, we flocked a certain joint where we would take the juice to cure our hangover. The place used to be full and I was very curious about trying it out back home,” she said.
Kangau returned and conducted extensive market research, discovering that his unique elixir was in high demand.
Encouraged by his discoveries, he decided to take a chance, quit his job as a truck driver, and pursue this business possibility.
Kangau spent his Ksh 200,000 funds on blenders and a sugarcane crushing machine before opening his juice shop in Limuru town.
The response was incredible, with men flocking to his place every morning to have a glass or two of the revitalizing juice.

The effectiveness of Kangau’s secret concoction is undeniable. A large glass of his “magic juice” is priced at Ksh 100, while a smaller one goes for Ksh 70.
“In a good day, I take home between Ksh 3,000 and Ksh 3,500 and on a bad day, I fetch around Ksh 2,500. It is good money and I can’t complain. It is enough to cater for my family needs and it’s much better than what I used to earn as a truck driver,” he said.
Mondays are especially busy for Kangau, as clients rush to his business to detoxify and cleanse their bodies after a weekend of partying.
While the hangover-curing powers are well known, his juice has also received attention for its health advantages.
It is very beneficial for diabetics, providing a natural and nutritional alternative.
John Kagwi, one of Kangau’s clients, said that he stopped taking pain relievers for hangovers after discovering the miraculous elixir.
“Alcohol kills your appetite; the green juice is magical in restoring appetite, and that’s why I am here,” he explained.
Kangau has found success with the addition of pumpkin seeds to his blend.
