Kenya to host inaugural Africa global public relations week

As Kenya prepares to host the first-ever Africa Global Public Relations Week (AGPRW), global focus is turning to Nairobi, where an exceptional roster of communications industry leaders will convene for a groundbreaking summit that promises to reshape the future of public relations on the continent and beyond.

Taking place from 26–27 August 2025, the summit is themed “Beyond Conversations: Redefining PR, Redefining Africa,” and will feature dynamic panels, innovation showcases, and strategic networking designed to elevate Africa’s voice in the global communications landscape.

AGPRW will bring together a broad cross-section of professionals in public relations, branding, media, and strategic communications, alongside high-level stakeholders from government, business, academia, civil society, and consumer-driven sectors. Participants are expected from across the continent, including Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Rwanda, and Ethiopia, as well as international hubs such as the United States, United Kingdom, India, and the United Arab Emirates.

Among the first wave of confirmed elite attendees are:

  • Arun Sudhaman – Non-Executive Chair of ICCO, globally respected for his thought leadership on PR strategy and emerging trends.

Mary Njoki, Founder and CEO of Glass House PR, adds, “Africa is no longer waiting for a seat at the table. We are building our own. The Africa Global Public Relations Week is more than an event; it is a movement to redefine narratives, amplify voices, and shape the global perception of our continent through strategic communication. We are honored to welcome such visionary leaders as we open a new chapter for PR in Africa.”

AGPRW is set to become the continent’s leading platform for strategic dialogue, cross-border collaboration, and professional growth in the communications field. In the weeks leading up to the event, additional high-profile attendees and keynote speakers will be announced.
