Interior PS Karanja Kibicho has dismissed claims by section of leaders allied to Kenya Kwanza coalition that chiefs are being used to buy IDs to influence the August general election.
Speaking when he met national government administrative officers (NGAOs) in Murang’a, Kibicho termed the claims as baseless saying the government has no interest to rig the elections.
He said meeting the chiefs and other administrators is a routine security issues which is under his mandate.
