On song Harambee Stars midfielder Richard Odada yearning for more goals

Harambee Stars midfielder Richard Odada is determined to add more goals to his name in the Danish second-tier league.

The midfielder has been on top of his game since joining Aalborg on loan from Major League Soccer outfit Philadephia Union, as he has already scored two goals in five matches despite being a defensive midfielder.

With league action resuming on Friday following the break, Odada is hoping to find the back of the net again and inspire the club to scoop maximum points.

“I am happy to get on the scoreboard, but the most important thing for me is the team’s performance and results. And tomorrow we must again deliver the best possible effort so that we can hopefully get a victory. If you have the chance to shoot, then it’s just a matter of trying,” he told the club’s website.

Meanwhile, Odada can’t wait to play his first Friday game and in front of the fans at the Aalborg Portland Park.

Aalborg are expected to host HB Køge in what will be Odada’s first Friday game at Aalborg Portland Park.

According to the club, more than 10,500 fans already have tickets for the match.

With two goals and solid performances in his first four appearances for Hele Nordjylland‘s team, Odada has gotten off to a good start in North Jutland.

The defensive midfielder who debuted for the club against Hobro last month, is grateful to his teammates and coaches for helping him settle quickly at the club.

The teammates and the coaching staff have been good at helping me since I got here. I feel comfortable and like part of the team, and right now I’m just looking forward to tomorrow,” he said in an interview with the club.

The former AFC Leopards Youth team player called on the home fans to back the team, observing that the support was a source of motivation.

I am very much looking forward to that. So far, the fans have created a good atmosphere for our matches – both away and at home – and I hope that even more fans will come tomorrow, because it helps to motivate us,” he said.

Since he switched to AaB on loan from the MLS club Philadelphia Union on August 15, Odada has, in addition to the four games in the NordicBet League, also been in action for the national team, where he featured against Qatar and South Sudan in the recent FIFA week.

He followed that up with a magnificent goal in last week’s 1-1 draw against Sønderjyske at Sydbank Park.
