In an endeavor to address the pressing issue of climate change in Kenya, 5,000 seedlings were planted at Ngong Road Forest, Bomas Block During the National Tree Growing Day held on 10th May 2024. The exercise led by the Nairobi County Kenya Forest Service (KFS), also aimed to honor the memories of those who lost their lives during the devastating nationwide floods.
The exercise was attended by Gertrude N. Angote from UNEP, NEMA Director General Mamo Boru Mamo, Marjan Hussein Marjan CEO of Kenya’s Electoral Agency IEBC, Patrick Obura NACADA Director Corporate Services, and Joyce Nthuku, Regional Forest Conservator Nairobi region, aimed to support the government of Kenya achieve the 15 billion trees target by 2032.

Led by Annepeace Alwala, Vice President of Global Service Delivery at Sama, the team donated 500 seedlings and joined hands with KFS to mark this significant day.
