Renowned Kenyan comedian David Oyando, popularly known as Mulamwah, has threatened to sue his ex-partner Caroline Muthoni Ng’ethe as the drama between the former lovers continues.
In a statement on Tuesday, the father of one indicated that he had made the decision to take legal action after diplomatic efforts to resolve their issues failed.
Mulamwah shared a lengthy letter written by his lawyers to his former partner expressing his dissatisfaction with how Sonie is alleged to have ignored the initial letter and continued to make false accusations against him.
“You have continued to tarnish our client’s name without cause while denying him the right to see his child,” the letter signed by MNO Advocates LLP read.
In the letter, Mulamwah further complained about a recent video allegedly made by his former partner on YouTube where she is claimed to have accused him of neglecting his parental responsibilities.
“You made false allegations that our client has refused and/or neglected to contribute to the upbringing of the child. This is despite your admission that our client has on several occasions sent you money via MPESA for maintenance, which you have reneged on without giving any reasons,” the letter read.
The comedian also lamented about the actress removing his name from their daughter’s birth certificate.
Moreover, he took the opportunity to announce his intention to involve his former partner in discussions regarding the upbringing of their two-year-old daughter.
Following all the complaints he raised, Mulamwah continued to make three main demands to the mother of his child.
These demands include;
i) Retracting the defamatory statements and publicly apologizing.
ii) Deleting all photos and videos of the child on her YouTube channel.
iii) Sharing the current birth certificate of their child and the reason for changing her name without his consent.
“Please note that our client is ready to give you 10 days from the date of receiving this letter to comply as outlined above,” the statement dated February 1, 2024, read.
