Michael Olunga’s MOFA faces off against GDC in highly anticipated football match

The Michael Olunga Football Academy FC (MOFA) is set to take on GDC in a highly anticipated match in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) National Division One Zone B midweek action on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023.

The 12th round encounter will take place at the Afraha C Grounds in Nakuru, with a 2:00 pm kickoff.

MOFA is coming off a dominant performance in their 11th round match, where they beat Bungoma Superstars 3-1 in Homabay county.

The team, which is based in Othoro in Oyugis, Homabay County, is made up of both a senior team and a football academy. It was founded and is currently run by Harambee Stars captain and Qatar-based striker Michael Olunga, with a focus on sports mentorship.

The match against GDC is expected to be a tough one, with both teams vying for a win. MOFA currently sits in third place in the league table with 22 points, while GDC is in fifth place with 18 points.

A win for MOFA would help them inch closer to league leaders Egerton FC, who currently have 27 points.

The league took a break for the Mozzart Bet cup round of 32 matches, which were played last weekend. MOFA will be looking to continue their winning ways and build momentum as they head into the latter half of the season.
