The government has reiterated its commitment to freedom of press saying it is not shutting down the internet during the electioneering period.
This is according to the to Cabinet Secretary Ministry Information Communication Technology Joe Mucheru who spoke during a breakfast meeting with media editors, Mobile Network Operators and the Communications Authority of Kenya who met to establish areas of collaboration in the August 9 Election.
