Harambee Stars midfielder Cynthia Shilwatso has completed a move to Ukrainian-based club FC Kryvbas Women, which plays in the top-flight league.
Shilawatso, who previously played for Vihiga Queens and also had a stint in Spain, left the Tanzanian top-flight side Fountain Gate Princess to join her new team.
The club officially confirmed Shilawatso’s arrival on Wednesday, stating that the contract with the Kenyan striker was signed back in March.
However, due to certain bureaucratic and logistical difficulties, Shilawatso had only just joined the team.
“Cynthia Musungu Shilvatso arrived in Kryvyi Rih! The contract with the Kenyan striker was signed back in March, but due to certain bureaucratic and logistical difficulties, only now the player will finally join Vladimir Efimako’s team!
The Kenyan player has experience of playing in Spanish La Liga and more than 20 matches for her country’s national team. Musungu has already met her teammates, and today she will hold his first training with ZFC Kryvbas,” the club posted.
The midfielder’s move to Ukraine comes after a short stint in Tanzania with Fountain Gate Princess, where she signed a short-term contract.
With her move to FC Kryvbas Women, Shilawatso will be looking to continue her impressive performances on the pitch and help her new team achieve their goals in the top-flight league.
