Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has provided social media influencer Nuru Okanga with a sum of Ksh 1.3 million to initiate a business venture.
Sudi made this announcement on Monday evening during their appearance on the Obinna TV show.
In addition to the financial assistance, he pledged to purchase a three-bedroom house in Nairobi as part of the affordable housing initiative.
This act of generosity comes in response to his previous commitment to “transform his life” after Okanga disclosed his difficult living circumstances, which included having to shower outdoors.
“Wewe kama Okanga unataka nikusaidie aje?” Sudi asked.
In his reply, Okanga stated that he is the primary provider for his family and has been intending to establish a salon for his wife; however, he currently lacks the necessary funds.
“If I get Ksh 300,000, kwa sababu hiyo ni yake, Niko sawa. Nimkeep busy. Mimi kama Nuru Okanga shida zangu zote ni mingi, lakini nataka niende straightforward, kama unaeza nipatia Ksh 1 million maisha yangu itakuwa sawa,” he stated.

Okanga has expressed his intention to allocate the funds towards establishing a posho mill, as well as setting up a car wash, a kiosk, and a furniture shop at his rural residence.
He mentioned that approximately Ksh 300,000 will be dedicated to launching a salon for his wife.
“I will go and set up businesses and become stable,” he added.
Nevertheless, Sudi and Obinna questioned him rigorously regarding his ability to oversee multiple businesses simultaneously.
Sudi consented to provide him with the funds but cautioned him against launching all the enterprises at once.
“I will give you the money but don’t start small. You can have the posho mill and the car wash first and ensure there is good management and stability before venturing into those others,” he said.
