Firebwize drops new gospel hit featuring Senator Karen Nyamu as video vixen [VIDEO]

Kenyan gospel singer Gelfas Khayega Amuchitsi known by his stage name Firebwize, has released his latest gospel track, ‘Waambie Watulie’ featuring a surprising guest appearance by Senator Karen Nyamu. The Kakamega-born artist, now based in Njoro, uses his music to address the challenges faced by Kenyans today.

Inspiration Behind ‘Waambie Watulie’

In a recent interview, Firebwize revealed that his new song is a response to the myriad issues affecting society today, such as economic hardships, floods, and psychological disorders. “We are living in tough times, and there are a lot of issues in our society. My inspiration in this music is to encourage people to hold on and wait & see how God will act. It’s a matter of time, Waambie Watulie,” he explained.

Senator Karen Nyamu’s Support

One of the standout elements of the ‘Waambie Watulie’ music video is the presence of Senator Karen Nyamu as a video vixen. Firebwize spoke highly of the senator, describing her as an amazing person who loves his music and has been a great support system. “She is easygoing, understanding, and supportive,” he said. Senator Nyamu sponsored the video production at SAFRI RECORDS, a fast growing music record label in Kenya. Karen Nyamu’s support shows how commited the Senator is to supporting local talent.

In addition to Senator Nyamu, the music video also features other notable personalities such as Hon. Kathambi and Hon. P. K Salasya. Firebwize also expressed gratitude towards MP Charity Kathambi, his area MP, for her unwavering support. “Mhesh is my area MP and my boss. She is more of a mother to me. She has walked with me in my music career. I owe her a lot for the support she gave,” he said.

Firebwize’s career

Firebwize’s music career began in 2002, but he recorded his first song in 2017. Over the years, he has faced numerous challenges, particularly financial constraints that affect his music production quality and marketing efforts. Despite these obstacles, he remains optimistic and committed to his music, which he states has been financially rewarding. “Music pays my bills. I have interacted with various leaders from the political scene to the business world locally & internationally,” he added.

Looking ahead, Firebwize plans to release more music and establish a talent base to support other emerging artists.
