Ken Mijungu, an anchor for KTN News, is one of the country’s most regarded and renowned journalists.
In addition to his media career, the talented journalist is involved in a variety of companies to supplement his income.
Mijungu has done an excellent job of keeping the majority of his life quiet, but his lucrative car and helicopter hire enterprises stand out.
He is the creator and owner of corporate Execar-tive Car Hire, a private company that rents out cars and helicopters to people and businesses for events and corporate activities.
The company rents out high-end cars and compact vehicles and also provides spare parts to its customers.
“We have top-of-the-line autos and can get you everything you want. Our prices are very competitive,” the company says on its Facebook page.
Execar-tive Car Hire sources some of its vehicles from Japan, South Africa, Australia, Singapore, Dubai and the United Kingdom.
The company offers among other services, airport to hotel executive transfers, city tours, long and short-term motor vehicle leasing, wedding automobiles, close protection and conference transfers.

It also offers VIP and VVIP services, as well as aircraft charter services to its customers.
In February 2021, Mijungu stated that Executive Car Hire had entered the helicopter business, adding another revenue source to the corporation.
The journalists declared on their social media profiles that helicopter charter services would cost $1,700 (Ksh 184,620) per hour.
“The choppers operate all over the country; they are based in Wilson, and we have five at our disposal, along with a private plane. We target anyone who enjoys luxury,” he told a local newspaper.
Mijungu added that the helicopter charter industry targets wealthy businesspeople and politicians, and that the company is seeing a rise in demand ahead of the 2022 general elections.
“Most people who rent out the choppers are politicians but also individuals who want to get to their location using minimal time,” he told me.
For example, if one helicopter is leased for 5 hours, it will cost Ksh 923,100.
Mijungu has stated that the company also rents out yachts and private jets.
