Inspiring Story of Elsa Kiprotich Who Rose From Charcoal Seller to Top Real Estate Agent in the US

Elsa Kiprotich, a middle-aged woman living in Houston, Texas, recently shared her journey from charcoal seller in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, to real estate agent in the United States.

In an interview on Chams Media TV, she described her upbringing, noting that she comes from a modest household in Eldoret.

Elsa’s family was able to generate enough money to pay for her education from primary to university.

After graduating from Kenya Methodist University with a Business Management degree in 2011, she started selling charcoal to make a living.

A few months later, Elsa expanded her business from selling outside her home to giving delivery services to nearby hotels throughout town.

This allowed her to develop valuable business skills for the future.

One year later, she was successful in applying for an academic scholarship to pursue a Master of Business Administration at the University of West Georgia in the United States.

After graduation, Elsa began selling life insurance to soldiers in Georgia, which led her to meet her future spouse.

After two years, she moved to Houston, Texas, where she became the leader of H-Town Royal Group, a residential and commercial real estate firm.

“Since after high school, I noticed my passion with helping people and how happy I became once they had their needs fulfilled,” she said.

Elsa has been a real estate agent for almost six years, stating that the job’s seasonal nature is particularly challenging.

She stated that the majority of her clients are Kenyans residing in Houston. Currently, Elsa has connected over 100 Kenyans with residential homes throughout the state.

“I have learned to appreciate what life brings whether small like creating and maintaining new friendships with strangers to greater things like being part of military family and having to experience what true sacrifice is having my own husband serve in the military,” she added.
