Celebrity couple Esther Kazungu and James Kibunja are expecting their first child together, two years after tying the knot.
Kazungu took to social media on Monday to announce the news, attracting congratulatory messages from fellow celebrities and fans in equal measure.
Kazungu shared photos of a baby cloth and ultrasound scan, and one with Kibunja and cheekily captioned them: “This man cured my periods.”
The post quickly attracted equally cheeky reactions from celebrities like Kambua, DJ Krowbar, Cate Actress and Bensol.
Kambua wrote: “Oh such beautiful news! Congratulations on having your periods temporarily cured!” while DJ Krowbar wrote; “Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…. what happened in the dark has come to light @_kibunjah. Congratulations guys.”
Kazungu is known for her humorous digital content that touches on politics and social issues.
Her husband Kibunja is an MC, speaker and host.
The couple wedded in a simple ceremony in September 2021, attended by family and friends, among them activist Boniface Mwangi.
Mwangi revealed that the wedding cost only Ksh.60,000, and urged other Kenyans looking to wed to emulate the couple.
