Bungoma Pastor Arrested as Police Recover Human Remains in His Car

Police in Webuye East are investigating a self-proclaimed priest whose car was found with body parts concealed in a carton.

The discovery was made after he drove it to a carwash at the Amazing gas station in Bungoma’s Masikhu market on Monday.

In the unusual occurrence that delayed services at the carwash, the suspect, Levis Simiyu, and a pastor from a local ministry in Ndivisi Ward brought his Toyota Premio for a body wash at the same location, just before the puzzling finding was made.

When the service technician was putting the finishing touches on the boot, he saw a projecting human limb that was partially burned and sitting on other similar bits.

The young man abandoned his duty and planned to go home early, but the petrol station manager noticed the frightening box.

The manager quickly notified the police at Webuye station, who came before the car owner could drive away.

The suspect is in custody, collaborating with the investigation, and the retrieved body parts have been transported to the Webuye County Hospital morgue for preservation and further analysis.
