Akothee has once again shed light on her short-lived marriage saying she overlooked some red flags in her husband.
The entertainer, who recently confirmed that she had parted ways with Denis Schweizer, said she met him at a time when she was lonely and found solace in him.
Looking back, Akothee says she might have been naïve but has learnt her lessons.
“Denis found me at the time I was ready to settle down and he gave me the love, attention and company that I needed then, life as a superstar can be very lonely, I had no support from family or friends.
“On several occasions, I have felt like selling everything and going to hide somewhere no one would find me I kind of felt alone in a world full of people,” she wrote.
Akothee added that Schweizer was the ‘perfect match’ for the short period they were together and she probably ignored some of his negative traits.
She said that she had already hatched an exit plan during their honeymoon and could not continue living a lie.
Although she did not divulge what led to the break-up, Akothee said staying in the marriage would have caused more harm than good.
“Honest and stupid .but that doesn’t DEFINE me as a person. I win in most cases, I lost in this one it’s okay. I started my exit plan after honeymoon, I don’t know how to force love issues especially, after knowing what I know now.
“If I continued with the narrative of staying in this marriage after all that I know now, my life would have been shorter than the shortest verse in the bible, I had to protect myself and my sanity the rest is history. It is well,” she wrote.
