Action galore as FKF Mozzart cup enters quarterfinals

The Mozzart Bet Cup quarterfinals are set to take place this weekend, with eight top teams in the Kenyan football scene ready to battle it out in a knockout tournament.

The action will kick off on Saturday at Police Sacco Stadium, with Tusker FC facing KCB at 1 pm, followed by Sofapaka taking on Ulinzi Stars at 3:15 pm.

The Mozzart Bet Cup is a highly competitive competition, and Tusker head coach Robert Matano expressed his excitement, saying that any team could win in knockouts.

“In knockouts, any team can win, not like the league. You take your chances, and if you win, you can be closer to the cup. The Mozzart Bet Cup is a very competitive competition, and we are ready to bring our A game on Saturday.” He said.

KCB head coach Zedekiah Otieno also emphasized the importance of their participation in the tournament ahead of their match against Tusker.

“We entered the tournament to compete and not just to participate. We began our journey in the Mozzart Bet Cup in the round of 32 against MOFA and won 1-0. In the round of 16, we beat Bidco United 4-1 in a post-match penalty shootout. Now we face Tusker again in the tournament,” said Otieno.

On Sunday, the action moves to MISC Kasarani for a doubleheader, with Kakamega Homeboyz playing Kariobangi Sharks in the early kickoff match.

AFC Leopards will then face Bandari at 3:15 pm to close off the quarterfinals games.
