Former powerful cabinet secretary Amos Kimunya is back! This is after Kimunya won the Kipipiri Jubilee nominations for the parliamentary seat.

The former finance minister got 16,479 votes against Gichigi who garnered 5,999 votes.

Incidentally, Kimunya had lost in the 2013 elections to Gichigi.

Other aspirants for the Jubilee ticket included broadcaster Wanjiku wa Njuguna.
