Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) secretary general Wilson Sossion has been picked for nomination to parliament by ODM.
The list has been submitted to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for nomination to the National Assembly.
The move to include Sossion in the list is expected to bring changes to the teachers’ union.
Sossion has lately been associated with opposition politics and was part of the NASA manifesto launch.
Others in the list include a relative of Jubilee Party politician Aden Duale.
Ms Khadija Hussein from Garissa County, a marketing consultant, is the daughter of former cabinet minister, Hussein Maalim Mohammed.
Mr Mohammed is remembered as one of the longest serving MPs and cabinet Minister having served in the cabinet of retired President Daniel Moi since 1983 until 2002.
