Kenyans unite to raise Sh325K for University student detained at KNH

A Pwani University student who was involved in an accident two months ago is allegedly detained at KNH.

This comes after a revelation that the female student has been unable to clear the pending medical bill amounting to Sh325K.

A Twitter user KOT OCS shared the sad details tagging Mike Sonko to help offset the bill.

“Mheshimiwa @MikeSonko kuna dem alisurvive ile accident ya Pwani University Naivasha but amefungiwa Kenyatta Nationa Hospital juu ya bill ya 325K na wameshindwa kulipaa…unaeza saidia Mkuu??” he shared.

The March road accident along the Naivasha-Nakuru highway claimed the lives of 17 people.

Survivors of the accident narrated how they were advised to wear safety belts minutes before the bus rammed into a matatu and crashed into a ditch.

KOT is ready to help offset the bill but also wants the institution to answer their questions on why they allow a student to be detained.
