Former Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho’s expensive taste in fashion has been making headlines recently.
He was seen wearing a Moncler Dincer jacket priced at Sh230,000 and Alexander McQueen New Court Eco low-top sneakers worth Sh70,000. The French-made jacket features red and blue stripes running along the sides of the sleeves.
He shared a picture of his outfit on Instagram, standing next to a Range Rover with his initials “HAJ” as the number plate.
This is not the first time Joho has been spotted in extravagant attire. He has been seen wearing expensive Louis Vuitton sneakers worth Sh97,000 and a Richard Mille watch worth Sh45 million, among other luxury accessories.
Joho is known for his involvement in politics, having supported Raila Odinga during the previous polls. Despite his absence from politics after Raila failed to clinch the 2022 seat, he showed his support for Tanzanian bongo star Ali Kiba by participating in a TikTok challenge for Kiba’s latest song, “Mahaba.” There are rumors that Joho spends lavishly on Kiba and other Tanzanian bongo singers.
Late last year, Joho attended the Mashujaa Day celebrations wearing a green patterned silk shirt by Versace that reportedly cost him Sh160,000.
He seems to favor Italian luxury fashion brands such as Versace and Dolce&Gabbana, as seen on his Instagram page.
He owns a Versace Gold Barocco print silk sweater worth Sh95,600, a Versace Embroidered Medusa shirt priced at Sh84,000, and a Dolce&Gabbana Cotton Hawaiian Shirt with Tropical King Print worth Sh122,500.
A popular video clip of Joho partying with American socialite Paris Hilton shows him wearing a Versace Blue/Gold Heritage Print shirt worth Sh60,000.
