Renowned Kenyan DJ Immo has made headlines recently as he announced his resignation from Radio Maisha and his new position at Radio 47.

DJ Immo had been with Radio Maisha for seven years and his departure has come as a surprise to many of his fans.

However, he is excited to embark on a new challenge as the head of the DJ department for both radio and television at his new workplace.

Radio 47 has been on a hiring spree lately, attracting several journalists from Standard Media Group and Radio Maisha. Many have speculated about the reasons behind this move, but it seems that Radio 47 is determined to become a major player in the industry and is willing to go to great lengths to achieve this goal.

DJ Immo’s new show, Baze 47, will air from 1 pm to 3 pm in the afternoon, and he hopes that it will be well-received by the audience. While he acknowledges that the new journey will be challenging, he remains optimistic about the future.

In his official statement, he expressed his gratitude to Radio Maisha for the wonderful memories and experiences that he had during his time there.

“Tarehe 2, mwezi wa tatu, itasalia kwenye kumbukizi daima. Siku ninayotamatisha safari yangu Radio Maisha, angalau kwa sasa! Wallahi haukua uamuzi rahisi. (March 2, 2023, will remain a day I will never forget. On this day, I completed my journey at Radio Maisha, at least for now! It was a very hard decision),” he said in the statement.

DJ Immo’s departure is just one of many recent resignations from Radio Maisha. Other presenters who have left include Eric Wambugu, Lynda Oriaso, Mbaruk Mwalimu, Hassan Mwana Wa Ali, and Emmanuel Mwashumbe.
