Reports reaching Newsday Kenya say that Embu Governor Martin Wambora has boycotted the on-going Jubilee nominations that kicked off on Friday morning.

Wambora, who is facing Cecily Mbarire in the gubernatorial Embu nominations contest cited irregularities in the way the nomination process was being conducted.

Earlier on, local news channel KTN had reported that Ms. Cecily Mbarire together with other aspirants in the county was also boycotting the exercise.

Governor Wambora is expected to announce his next move within the day. Strikingly, his tenure as Embu Governor has been marred by confrontations with the county assembly and impeachments.
