A 21 year old bride has been arrested in Pakistan after she allegedly killed 15 of her in-laws by poisoning their milk.

According to Daily Mail, Aasia Bibi from Muzaffargarh in the southwestern Punjab province had hatched a plan to poison her husband but the plan backfired.

Bibi, two months to her marriage, was reportedly unhappy with the arranged union to Amjad Akram, 25, and was in love with another man.

Days after her wedding she reportedly went back to her parents but was forcefully returned back by her family.

It was then alleged that she hatched a plan to kill the husband and was provided with the poison by her alleged lover, Shahid Lashari.

She then proceeded to poison her husband’s glass of milk but he did not take it as ordered.

Instead, Akram’s mother unknowingly used the milk laced with poison to make a popular traditional yogurt, Lassi.

The yogurt was then served to 27 of Akram’s family members. Bibi’s in-laws soon started showing symptoms of poisoning.

15 people died while 12 others are still in critical condition.

In her defence, Bibi initially told the police that a lizard had fallen into the milk. She was arrested along with her alleged lover and aunt for a role they played in the act.
