Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (KWAL), through its non-alcoholic brand Savanna 0.0, today flagged off the all-female Rhino Charge team, Zambarau Heels on Wheels, with a KES 500,000 sponsorship. This is third consecutive year KWAL is supporting the all-female team, reinforcing its deep commitment to environmental conservation and the empowerment of women in motorsport.

The sponsorship was presented during a cheque handover ceremony ahead of the annual off-road competition that will take place on 30th May 2026 with the aim of raising funds for the conservation and restoration of Kenya’s critical water towers, including the Aberdare Ranges. From inception to date, the Rhino Charge has raised over KES 2.4 billion to support environmental conservation.

This initiative is a cornerstone of KWAL’s Sustainability pillar, which seeks to directly support the ecosystem that serves as a primary water catchment for its manufacturing plant in Tatu City.

“For the third year running, we are proud to support a cause that directly aligns with our commitment to environmental stewardship. The Aberdare ecosystem is a national treasure and a vital water source for millions, including our own operations,” said Alice Mwalimo, Commercial Director, KWAL.

“By supporting the Rhino Charge, we are actively investing in a sustainable future for both our environment and our business, “she added.

“We are grateful to KWAL and the Savanna 0.0 brand for their support. This partnership empowers us to compete in this challenging event and contribute meaningfully to the conservation of Kenya’s water towers. KWAL’s commitment not only fuels our vehicle but also our passion for making a positive impact,” said Agnes Mwangi, lead driver for the Zambarau team.

Savann 0.0. is part of the growing porrfolio of ciders that KWAL distributes and produces. The variants Savanna 0.0, Savanna Dry and Savanna Angry Lemon are complimented by the recently launched Savanna Dry cans, which were launched in the market in early May.

Speaking at the event, Mukami Miriti, Savanna Brand Manager said: “Savanna 0.0 is a brand that embodies a crisp, refreshing, and conscious lifestyle. With our non-alcoholic option, we ensure that experience is accessible for every occasion, providing an alternative option for consumers. We are happy to support a team that embodies such a bold and conscious spirit, while investing in a cause that protects the very water resources essential for crafting that crisp Savanna taste.”

The sponsorship will enable the team to prepare for the rigorous competition and further their fundraising efforts for the Rhino Ark Charitable Trust.
